Tula Tula - Hush, Hush
(Xhosa /Ngqika - recorded in 1957)
Two lullabies.
The singer (believed to be a coloured woman) changed the tune to a European one half way through. Her baby co-operated well.

I have loved the dixie Humming birds since the 1960s, but have never heard their early work--amazing. Listening to all this wonderous harmony and spirit comes close to restoring my lost faith in Christianity. ronspin

I saw Msafiri Zawose play WOMAD UK on two occasions this year and fell under his charm as he played solo gigs. This is great to hear him play with other musicians. gr4h4m
