Amadoda e Lenge - Men of Lenge (Zulu - recorded in 1955)
A cattle herding tune - The theme of the "unkind mother" is fairly common.
Sampled by Throwing Shade, Tru Fonix and Boys Ride Bikes on 'Beating Heart - South Africa'
With kind permission from the International Library of African Music, Beating Heart works with artists to sample and remix Hugh Tracey's incredible archive. Proceeds from the South Africa album support gender equality in South Africa through the Women’s Legal Centre, as well as helping to teach music production skills to kids at Grahamstown’s Access Music Project.

I have loved the dixie Humming birds since the 1960s, but have never heard their early work--amazing. Listening to all this wonderous harmony and spirit comes close to restoring my lost faith in Christianity. ronspin

I saw Msafiri Zawose play WOMAD UK on two occasions this year and fell under his charm as he played solo gigs. This is great to hear him play with other musicians. gr4h4m
